ScummVM quits on Graphics Mode 2x

I'm using Samsung Omnia 2, it's a WVGA device running WM6.5
ScummVM quits on me at key points of certain games:

(1) Sam n Max Hit the Road -- after the credits, when Sam throws the time bomb/head out of the window

(2) DOTT -- during the cutscene where the Hoagie's Chron-O-John lands in the 1700s.

I'm using the following settings:

Graphics Mode: 2x
Fullscreen mode: On

I have noticed that the games don't quit on me if I leave the on-screen menu / keyboard on.

I'm wondering if valdr is describing the same issue in another thread?

I am not sure about DOTT since I did not played it yet, but is the case of Sam & Max Hit the Road I have noticed that the scummvm crashes every time the screen moves "beyond" screen size - screen shaking after bomb explodes (there are several other points on which game crashed during Sam & Max).
Workaround (which worked for me) is to save often (5 mins autosave) and when it crashes, run it again and change graphic mode to default - the game will run in very small windows but it will run. Load last save and get past the "crash point" save it, quit, change back to 2x and load the game. It will work "fullscreen" to next point with screen shaking - repeat the procedure.

Thanks for this. I'll try and look into it this weekend, and
get a fix in in time for 1.1.1.
